Are there different types of dentures?

Yes! If you’re missing one or more teeth, you may not feel as confident with your smile, or you may experience difficulty chewing or speaking. There are several types of dentures that can be custom designed to help you achieve your perfect smile. Below is a list of denture types our dental technicians can fabricate for you, and a short description of each type.

Full dentures

Full dentures are designed and fitted for people requiring complete removal of the top or bottom teeth, or both! We custom make dentures to suit each patient’s mouth, creating natural looking teeth that are both comfortable and unique.

Another option for full dentures is the use of removable implant dentures that securely fit the denture to your mouth, resulting in a stable fit that results in better comfort whilst eating and talking.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures replace a number of natural teeth that have been lost.

Partial dentures can be custom designed using a natural gum coloured acrylic plate, or using a thin metal alloy plate to align the partial dentures with your natural teeth. Partial dentures can also help prevent your remaining natural teeth from moving, provide comfort when chewing, and restore confidence in your smile.

For smaller partial dentures where natural teeth are available either side of the missing tooth, flexi dentures can be designed to fit discretely, without visible alloy or acrylic plates.

Cosmetic Dentures

Cosmetic dentures offer patients the option to significantly enhance full or partial dentures with gum design, acrylic colour, and tooth shapes.

Digital Dentures

Digital dentures are custom designed by using the latest in 3D dental scanning technology to build custom dentures with a precise fit, reducing delivery time and minimising the need for adjustments. Read more about digital dentures and the digital technology we use.
